London 2012 Torch Relay Day 27: Olympic Flame left Scotland but not before visiting the Scottish Parliament building and Bamburgh Castle, travelling 140.20 miles on its journey from Edinburgh to Alnwick. There were a total of 130 Torchbearers before an evening celebration was held at Alnwick Castle Pastures, in front of the Medieval Castle of Alnwick which featured in the Harry Potter movies. Among those who carried the Torch were Allan Wells, the 1980 Olympic 100 metres champion, and Lynn Mccafferty, the captain of Britain's handball team, who will be making their Olympic debut at London 2012. In this picture, Christine Thomson carries the Torch through the streets of Duddingston.
